You have until midnight Friday to make a donation to deduct it from 2011 taxes. Here's where to donate

It's not just a time to help those in need. It's also the last week to make charitable contributions that can be deducted on this year's taxes.

A safe haven for animals in need. The organization also includes Popcorn Park Zoo, a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly animals. It was founded in 1906 and is the largest animal sheltering system in the state, as it also owns a shelter in Newark and Tinton Falls.

Murray Grove Retreat and Conference Center is a private, non-profit organization that offers space for overnight and day gatherings. Murray Grove is a historic Unitarian Universalist center, and is located at the site where the first Universalist sermon was preached in the America's in 1770.
