Jersey Filmmakers To Debut New Short Horror Film
New Jersey's Black Ave Films Set To Debut New Short Horror Film In Atlantic Highlands.

When asked to describe his new film "Swine and Dine," Ronald Black, one-half of the creative geniuses behind Black Ave Films with Chris Avellino, simply stated, "it's a reversal of industrial farming." He did also add that "it's a slasher film with an 80's feel." This alone allowed my imagination to run wild with what Black and Avellino have created for repeat popcorn viewing with friends or someone who usually jumps during the unexpected scenes. I did enjoy previewing the film and found myself very entertained. Sorry, I won't be giving any spoilers though.
On Sunday, July 27th, Smodcastle Cinemas, located at 82 First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, will be hosting a premier showing of "Swine and Dine" at 3:00pm. In addition, they will also be showing other shorts from Black Ave Films. Running around 22 minutes, "Swine and Dine" won "Best Horror Short" at the Indie House Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain and was a finalist at the World Film Festival in Cannes.
New Jersey actor Mark Haynes from the film "Stream" stars alongside Michelle Santiago from "Terrifier 2." Kelsey Rhea from Pittsburgh, who will be featured in the upcoming "House Of Tears," may gain a "Scream Queen" title after her performance in "Swine and "Dine."

Tickets for this showing are only $15.00, which includes a small popcorn and soda. Stars from the film are expected to be in attendance. Blu-rays will be available for sale, as well. You can purchase tickets or find more information about BAF's projects at www.blackavefilms.com. So instead of sitting home on a Sunday afternoon, I think this little piggy should visit Smodcastle.
