LACEY, NJ — Principal Gregory Brandis announced that police will be maintaining a presence at Lacey Township High School following an investigation of an unfounded threat last week.

After reports circulated of a threat against the high school on Friday, a letter was sent out informing parents that there was no evidence of a credible threat to the high school or any schools in Lacey Township.

Another letter was sent to parents Monday night reiterating that the threat was found to be unsubstantiated after police investigated the reports of a threat with information from students, staff and families.

“We would like to reassure the entire LTHS school community that the perceived threat was thoroughly investigated by the Lacey Township Police Department and found to be unsubstantiated,” Brandis wrote. “We continue to remind all of our families that if you see something, we want you to say something.”

Brandis noted that police officers will continue to maintain a presence within the high school for the safety of staff and students.
