Lacey House Struck By Lightning
Outside outlet box was smoking, incident happened when homeowners were out, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Township fire investigators have determined that a blaze that damaged a Forked River home recently started after the house was struck by lightning, when the residents weren't home, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officers Julie Barcalow and Anthony Sarno responded to a report of an electrical fire on the 200 block of Lane Place at 5:13 p.m on Saturday, Aug. 11.
The homeowners told police that they lost power in their back bedroom and heard a strange noise when they shut the breaker off. When they went outside, they found the outlet box smoking, the chief said.
