Lacey Man, Owner Of Monari Auto Service, Passes Away

Edward Vincent Monari Jr. loved fishing, being on his boat and spending time with family.

LACEY, NJ — Edward Vincent Monari Jr., 65, died June 26 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

Monari was born and raised in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. He moved to Lanoka Harbor in the late 1970s. Monari and his two brothers owned and operated Monari and Sons Auto Body in Waretown until the early 90s. Then he opened Monari Auto Service in 1992 in Lanoka Harbor.

Monari was a loving, giving and honest person, according to his obituary. He enjoyed fishing, being on his boat and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne (nee Nunziato); four children, Edward Monari and his wife Amanda, Shannon Arruda and her husband Tom, Lisa Granato and her husband TJ, and Christopher Williams; his grandchildren, Samantha, Kalee, Hannah, Andrew, Edward, Joe, Emma-Leigh, Eli, Jake and Ariana; along with his brothers Vincent Monari and his wife Susan and their children, Thomas Monari and is wife Kathy and their children, and his cousin Paula Snarberg and her husband George and their children.

A viewing was held June 29 at Riggs Funeral home before a private cremation.
