Lacey Man's Quest For A Date Turns Into Theft
Woman asks him to send her $1,200, then she disappears, police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The man met the woman on Facebook. They talked. They planned to meet.
But first, she asked him to wire her $1,200, so she could pay an outstanding bill and buy plane tickets so they could meet. He sent her the money.
"After the transaction was completed, the woman deleted him from her Facebook page and has not responded to him," Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
