Lacey Mom 'Is More Than A Mom, She's Also A Hero,' Daughter Says

LACEY, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is more than a mom, she’s also a hero. She’s also the proudest grandmother and best friend to Aubrey. My mother always puts the needs of her children and her granddaughter before her own. My mother was my number one support when I was diagnosed with cancer, spent every waking moment looking for the best of the best care for me. My mother deserves the world and to know that there is no other woman like her. Known to “babysit for the weekend” any dog for years and years at a time. She’s also voted number one DUNKIN DONUTS supporter of their coffee in all of the tri-state area (by her family). She’s the greatest, and I don’t tell her enough.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She’s like Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen — she’s #1!
