Lacey Mom 'Is Present, Involved & Devoted To Her Kids'

LACEY, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Jack Bartky who nominated Jessica Bartky of Lacey.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Jessica suffers from Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, a disease for which there is no cure and that severely limits her day-to-day activities. Despite that, she always makes sure that her kids come first. They are what give her the drive to fight and keep going every day. She makes each moment with them special, spending time reading, sharing nightly movie time with them, and making sure they know how much she loves them.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Jessica knows how important it is to be a mom who is present, involved and devoted to her kids no matter what else is going on.
