Lacey Municipal Police Foundation Surprise Shoppers With Gifts
Each family received a $50 Walmart gift card toward their total bill donated from the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and Walmart.

LACEY, NJ — A few families were surprised with a generous gift as they checked out at the Walmart of Lanoka Harbor Saturday. Each family received a $50 Walmart gift card toward their total bill donated from the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and Walmart.
Lacey Township Police Chief Michael DiBella, Walmart Manager Will Ferguson and Lacey Municipal Police Foundation Directors Dan Cortese and James Wioland distributed the gift cards among shoppers as they were checking out of the store.
“What made today really special was to see several smiles, and even some tears of joy, when the gift cards were provided. We look forward to doing this again as we move forward,” the Lacey Police Department said in a release.

In addition to the gift card giveaway on Saturday, the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation are also providing Walmart gift cards to a list of local families in need this holiday season.
The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation is a volunteer-based organization, which usually utilizes the funds collected to directly support community programs, like the Gille Park Skate Park Evening events.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the police foundation decided this year to utilize funds collected to give back to the community.
