Lacey Police Arrest Toms River Man For Drunk Driving

Lacey police recently arrested a Toms River man and arrested him for drunk driving and other charges after a traffic stop, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Michael Verwey conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lacey Road and Lake Barnegat Drive in Forked River at 12:51 a.m. on June 16. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of James J. Doyle Jr., 25, Badger Driver, Toms River.

He was taken to police headquarters and charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and driving with an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle., the chief said.

The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
