Lacey Police Charge Forked River Man With Numerous Car Burglaries
Lance Romano, 47, charged with 8 counts of burglary and 7 counts of vehicle thefts in the Barnegat Pines area, police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police arrested a Forked River man on Tuesday and charged him with numerous vehicle burglaries dating back to last summer, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Lacey detectives, members of the Ocean County SWAT team and Berkeley Township detectives executed a search warrant early Tuesday morning at a house in the 1300 block of Norwood Street. They arrested Lance Romano, 47, who currently rents a room in the home, the chief said.
His arrest stems from numerous vehicle burglaries in the Barnegat Pines area dating back to the early summer of 2017, he said

"Many of the incidents were consistent and assumed to be committed by the same suspect," DiBella said. "As the investigation continued, focus was placed on Romano as the suspect involved."
Romano was charged with eight counts of burglary and seven counts of theft. He was released on his own recognizance in accordance with bail reform, the chief said.

Detectives anticipate returning numerous pieces of stolen property to their owners, DiBella said.
