Lacey Police Charge Forked River Woman With Drunk Driving

Arrest came after traffic stop on Lacey Road and Lane Place, police chief says.

Lacey Township police recently charged a Forked River woman with driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Lacey Road and Lane Place, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Jesse Dalziel stopped Kathleen L. Caneal, 53, Hillside Place at 10:51 p.m. on July 22. Detective Dimitri Tsarnas responded to assist. Investigation at the scene led to her arrest for driving under the influence. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was also charged with reckless driving, failure to observe traffic signal and failure to maintain lane, the chief said.

Her vehicle was impounded pursuant to John's Law, he said.
