Lacey Police Charge Juvenile With Aggravated Assault Over Pilfered Pumpkin
15-year-old boy goes after neighbor with knife after he confronted him over pumpkin theft.

Lacey police recently charged a 15-year-old Forked River youth with aggravated assault after he threatened a man with a knife who caught him stealing a pumpkin with two other juveniles, Police Chief Michael DiBella said.
Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the 1200 block of Spruce Street in Forked River on a report of threats involving a knife at 9:46 p.m. on Oct. 31, the chief said.
The victim told police he saw three male juveniles steal his neighbor’s pumpkin from the front of the residence. When he confronted them about the theft, one of the male juveniles threatened him with a knife, DiBella said.

The boy was taken police headquarters, where he was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct and underage consumption of alcohol, the chief said.
He was released to his parens custody, DiBella said.
