Lacey Police and EMS Participate In ‘No-Shave November'
The Lacey Township Police Department and Lanoka Harbor EMS raised $4,510 during their "No-Shave November Keep it Local Campaign" last month.

LACEY, NJ —Members of the Lacey Township Police Department and Lanoka Harbor EMS put down their razors for the entire month of November to raise money for cancer.
Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said they raised $4,510 during their “No-Shave November Keep it Local Campaign” last month.
DiBella said the department’s goal was to donate the money to the family of Chief John Szafranski III of the Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Company, who died due to pancreatic cancer.

“Chief Szafranski was a dedicated participant who privately fought his own courageous battle with pancreatic cancer for the past several years,” DiBella said in a statement.
“Mrs. Szafranski has requested that all the monies raised be donated on Chief Szafranski’s behalf to the Lustgarten Foundation which specializes in pancreatic cancer research.”

The Lacey Township Police Department and Lanoka Harbor EMS have raised more than $25,000 through No-Shave November campaigns since 2016.
