Lacey Police Investigating Theft Of $2,000 Worth Of Copper From Forked River Home
The house had been vacant since September 2015, police chief says.

Lacey police are looking for whoever stole $2,000 of copper sometime between Sept 1, 2015 and 10:42 a.m. on Nov. 23, 2016 from a vacant home in Forked River, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officer Darrell Nick responded to the 1800 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River on a report of a copper theft on Nov. 23. The property manager of the residence was performing a home inspection and noticed that the copper from the baseboard heaters throughout the entire house was missing, as well as the copper from the crawl space, the chief said.
Since the home had been vacant for more than a year, it is not known when the burglary and theft occurred, DiBella said.
