Lacey Police Report More Thefts From Unlocked Cars
Multiple thefts reported over the past week and a half, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police responded to a number of reports about car thefts and burglaries over the past week, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Sept. 20 - Officer Darrell Nick responded to police headquarters at 1:10 p.m. on Sept. 20 on a theft report. The victim told police that between Sept. 14 and Sept. 15, someone entered his vehicle and stole $1,000 in cash from a bank envelope in the glove compartment of his work truck, the chief said.
The victim could not give an exact location where the theft occurred, he said.

Sept. 20 - Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the 1300 block of Foch Avenue in Forked River at 6:17 p.m. on a vehicle theft report. The owner told police that between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 p.m., an unknown person or persons entered her unlocked vehicle and stole two gold rings valued at $100, the chief said.
Sept. 20 - Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the 500 block of Holmes Avenue in Forked River on a vehicle theft report. The owner told police that between 4 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2017 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 20,an unknown person or persons entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway and stole a purse with a total value $50.

Sept. 16 - Officer Michael Baldasari responded to police headquarters on a theft report at 3:08 p.m. The victim told police that between 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 and 2 p.m. on Sept. 16, an unknown person or persons entered his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of his Moosehead Street home in Forked River and stole his wallet containing various documents, cash, and a gift card. The total amount of the theft is estimated at $250, the chief said.
