Lacey Police Report Two Recent Criminal Mischief Incidents

Two cars parked on street were keyed, dead bolt locks damaged, police chief says.

There were two incidents of criminal mischief in the township over the past week, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Oct. 2, 8:22 a.m. - Officer Evan Androcy responded to the 600 block of Challenger Way in Forked River for a report of criminal mischief. The caller told police that between the hours of 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1 and 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, an unknown person or persons damaged two dead bolt locks. The damage was estimated at $120.

Oct. 2, 5:05 p.m. - Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the 500 block of Baldwin Street in Forked River on a damaged vehicle report. The owner reported that sometime between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, someone keyed two vehicles that were parked in the street. The total damage to both vehicles is estimated at $1,000, the chief said.
