Lacey Rapper Raising Funds For Charity Through 'Style Icon' Contest
Young Orange is raising money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation while he's in the running for the "Style Icon" contest.

LACEY, NJ — A local rapper is hoping to make his dreams come true while supporting a good cause.
Lacey native Young Orange is in the running for the "Style Icon" contest presented by Elton John, which raises funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation while giving him the opportunity to win $20,000 and appear in Flaunt Magazine while claiming the Style Icon title.
As of Thursday afternoon, Young Orange is third in his group. Voting ends Thursday at 7 p.m. One vote is free, and more can be added with a donation to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

"I try to be myself," Young Orange said of what makes his style stand out. His fashion goal is to release his own clothing line. With the prize, he said he would invest it into his music and purchase high-quality gear for his home studio and to make music videos.

"My dream is to make music and do that for a living, so anything that brings me closer to that goal is amazing!" Young Orange said.
