Lacey Recreation Seeks Used Toys For Kids In Need
The Lacey Township Recreation Department and Tomatoes Pizzeria are participating in a county-wide used toy drive.
LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Township Recreation Department and Tomatoes Pizzeria are participating in a county-wide used toy drive.
The program only accepts clean, gently used toys with no missing parts and new batteries if needed. Stuffed animals will not be accepted.
The toy drive was organized by Ocean County Recyclables and Second Chance Toys in an effort to keep toys out of landfills. Four other locations are collecting used toy donations in Toms River and Island Heights.

According to Second Chance Toys’ website, over 370,000 toys have been donated to children in need, saving 1,500,000 pounds of waste from landfills.

Toys can be dropped off at Lacey Recreation (818 W. Lacey Rd.) and Tomatoes Pizza (701 Lacey Rd.) until Dec. 14.
Plastic playhouses can be disposed of at Ocean County’s recycling centers. More information can be found here.
