Lacey Skate Park Event Cancelled For Tonight Due To Rain
Event has been rescheduled to May 12

Skateboarders and in-line skaters will have to wait a week for the next night event at Gille Park in Lacey, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
The event has been cancelled and rescheduled to May 12 due to inclement weather, the chief said.
It's one in a series of Friday night dates that will be held in the spring and the summer. Each night begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.

There will be a live DJ, and lighting provided by the police and Forked River and Lanoka Harbor fire departments. Both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will also be on hand.
Bottled water is allowed in the park. Tom and Dee's Italian Ice will be selling items for purchase.

The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Municipal Alliance had also arranged to bring a mobile gaming trailer provided by "Party Crashers" to be at the park from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with age appropriate games, the chief said.
The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer participated in last year's Lacey Day Event, and has participated in numerous events throughout Ocean County.
Evening skate park nights will also be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 19, Friday, June 2, and Friday, June 30. Additional dates after that will also be announced.
Skate park nights are coordinated by the Lacey Township Recreation Department, police department and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance.
