Lacey Teen On 'American Ninja Warrior' Heads To National Finals

Ava Colasanti will showcase her athletic skills Monday night as she advances to the national finals of NBC's "American Ninja Warrior."

LACEY, NJ — Ava Colasanti will showcase her athletic skills Monday night as she advances to the national finals of NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior" competition.

Colasanti, 16, of Lacey, made it through four obstacles of the course in under two minutes in this week’s episode of the semi-finals.

She conquered the Shrinking Steps, Lunatic Ledges, Barrel Roll and the Diamond Dash before her run came to an end on the Drop Zone, where she couldn't hold on to the handle above her head and fell into the water.

However, her fast pace and end time of 1:14:80 earned her a spot in the national finals. She also placed second on the women’s leaderboard.

The “American Ninja Warrior" finals take place in Las Vegas.

Colasanti announced on social media that the episode featuring her backstory and full run during the finals will air Monday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
