Lacey Teen Progresses On ‘American Ninja Warrior’

A Lacey teen is advancing through NBC's "American Ninja Warrior" competition, landing in the "Women's Top 5" ranking after Monday's episode.

LACEY, NJ — You can’t spell “savage” without "Ava."

Ava Colasanti, 16, of Lacey says she has been training like a savage as she advances through the “American Ninja Warrior" competition on NBC.

During each episode, elite athletes run, climb and jump through obstacle courses, putting their strength, agility and coordination to the test.

Colasanti sprinted through Monday night’s extreme obstacle course. Though she fell during the Tilt-A-Whirl challenge, she landed in the “Women’s Top 5” ranking.

Colasanti competed in a shirt that says "SAVAGE," which has become her personal motto as she continues to advance through the competition and showcase her athletic skills.
