Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!
Emily is an amazing young lady who will be heading to the United States Military Academy at West Point. Once she completes her service to her country, her goal is to become a prosecutor, and then eventually enter politics. She has maintained a straight A grade point throughout all of her schooling. She has maintained this perfect GPA, all while being employed as the head instructor of her taekwondo school (she is a 4th degree Black Belt), as well as being involved in her church youth group, school theater group, Chemistry Olympics, Poetry Out Loud and other various activities. She is a three time NJ State SkILLS winner in extemporaneous speech & she will be competing in nationals in June for the 3rd time. In her few moments of free time she enjoys playing guitar, crocheting, skateboarding, reading & drawing. We are so proud of everything she has accomplished and look forward to seeing how she grows at USMA.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?
She is such an amazing young woman. She has had many obstacles to face, such as alopecia and multiple reconstructive knee surgeries, yet she has never let these difficulties stop her from accomplishing her goals. She faces every new challenge with determination and a smile, and she is an inspiration to those of us around her. Throughout her years of teaching Taekwondo she has made an impact on so many students.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Emily!
