Lacey's National Night Out Coming Up On Tuesday
Lacey Police, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department and New Jersey State Police will be on hand for a variety of actitivies.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – Lacey police will celebrate National Night on Tuesday at Gille Park with visits from a variety of law enforcement officials and emergency medical services, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
You can have your children pose for pictures with Lacey police officers. Watch a drone demonstration and a K-9 show by the Ocean County Sheriff's Department. The New Jersey State Police will conduct a helicopter landing or a flyover, depending on the weather.
"Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to meet with officers from all three law enforcement agencies as well as meet with volunteers from our local emergency services, all while enjoying a fun-filled evening for the entire family," the chief said.

The free event will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Each agency will present different pieces of law enforcement equipment and apparatus. The Lacey Township Police Department will coordinate a bicycle rodeo for young adults,The Forked River, Lanoka Harbor and Bamber Lakes Fire Departments, along with the Lacey Township EMS, Lanoka Harbor EMS and the Lacey Township Dive Team will also be hand, the chief said.

Visitors will also have a chance to take the Ocean County Health Department's Impaired Driver Simulated Course where participants can try on "impairment goggles" to see what it's like to drive impaired by alcohol or drugs.
A live DJ will play music. There will also be face-painting and other fun events for kids. The Lacey Township Recreation Department will presenting an outdoor movie, “Wonder” which will begin at 8:30 p.m. Please bring a chair or blanket for the movie.
There will also be several businesses and non-profit organizations with tables. The Lacey Township PBA will provide free food for the event and will cook hot dogs provided by the Lacey Elks, Lacey Shop Rite, and Caffrey's Tavern. Tom & Dee's Italian Ice will provide all ice for free, courtesy of Thompson Healthcare and Sports Medicine.
The majority of the event will occur on the south side of Gille Park. No vehicular traffic will be permitted on the south side except for emergency vehicles, and motorists with disabled parking credentials.
