Lacey's 'No-Shave November' Has Begun
Initiative now underway to raise money to fight cancer, police chief says.
It's official. "No-Shave November' has begun.
A number of members of the Lacey Township police officers, emergency services volunteers and Township Committeeman Gary Quinn have put down their razors for the entire month of November to raise money for cancer, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
The soon-not-to-be clean-shaven pledges posed for a "before" photo outside Town Hall last night. They will look very different by Dec. 1.

"Residents in Lacey Township will find some of their police officers and emergency service personnel to be on the 'hairy side' during the month of November," DiBella said. "You may see uniformed police officers sporting beards and mustaches, all in the name of fighting cancer."
"I look forward to this initiative while at the same time “sporting” a full beard during the month of November, the chief said. "At the conclusion of the event, the Lacey Police Department grooming policy will be back in full effect until next year’s No-Shave November."
