Learn About Lacey Native Plants With This Workshop
The American Littoral Society is hosting the Forked River Beach Native Plants Workshop to educate residents on how to protect the shoreline.
LACEY, NJ — Want to learn about how native plants help the environment? Join the American Littoral Society in their Forked River Beach Native Plants Workshop and learn all about how planting native benefits the local ecosystem.
The workshop is part of the Forked River Beach Oyster Reef Restoration Project, which protects the Forked River Beach shoreline and improves water quality.
Pinelands Nursery and "Wild Spaces By Becky" will hold presentations to educate community members on what native plants are best suited for the area and how they can be incorporated.

Plants will be on-site and guests will be able to interact to learn about native plants. Those interested will be able to schedule a planting day to incorporate native plants into their property.
The workshop will be held on June 18 at the Forked River Beach Bay Front Park (1514 Beach Blvd. Forked River) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
