Manchester Man Caught In Lacey With 75 Grams Of Methamphetamine

Lacey police were instrumental in the arrest of a Manchester Township man who was found with 75 grams of methamphetamine in his 2007 Hyundai in a strip mall in Forked River, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

The arrest of David Dixon, 58, Circle Drive, was the culmination of an investigation by the Prosecutor's Special Operations Group, the Lacey Police Narcotics Unit and the Manchester Township Police Narcotics Unit for distributing methamphetamine in the Southern Ocean County area, said spokesman Al Della Fave.

Dixon used the Hyundai to store and distribute quantities of methamphetamine, he said.

Detectives located the Hyundai on June 16 in the area of a strip mall located at 1015 Lacey Road in Forked River. Detectives with the help of the Lacey Township Police Patrol Division conducted a motor vehicle stop. Dixon was in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

They conducted a search and seized the methamphetamine, along with the Hyundai, pending forefeiture proceedings, Della Fave said.

Dixon was charged with possession of Methamphetamine and possession of Methamphetamine) over one half ounce with intent to distribute. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail pending a future court date, he said.
