March 16: Financial Aid Workshop, St. Patrick's Day Bash, Casino Night

1. Ocean County College is holding a financial aid workshop at 1 p.m.

2. The is holding baseball tryouts from 2 to 4 p.m.

3. It’s nearly spring and time to start planting flowers. If you have an interest in gardening and horticulture, stop by the County Connection at the Ocean County Mall in Toms River from 5 to 8 p.m. to learn more about the Master Gardener program.

4. There is a St. Patrick’s Day Bash at the in Forked River at 6 p.m. The Barley Boys will be performing. Admission is $20, which includes entertainment and a buffet of corned beef and cabbage, red potatoes and soda bread. There will also be a cash bar.

5. Tickets are still available for School’s Casino Night, held by the Parent Teacher Association at the at 7 p.m. Admission is $50 per person and includes live entertainment, $50,000 in play money for various casino games, appetizers and a pasta station, one drink ticket, a cash bar and coffee and dessert. There will also be a 50/50 and birthday board raffles.
