New Community Sign Purchased for Lacey Township High School
The PTSA purchased a LED sign for approximately $25K

The will soon feature a new LED sign, courtesy of the Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA).
“It’s a really nice sign,” PTSA President Donna McAvoy said. “It’s a great way to get communication out to the community.”
Last year, the PTSA asked Principal William Zylinski what they could do for the high school. The current sign in front of the school was damaged after it was run over by a snowplow, McAvoy said.

The sign will be approximately 12 feet high, double-sided and will cost about $25,000, she said.
“It was a huge undertaking,” McAvoy said. “We’re thrilled about it. We’re happy that the money is being spent on something that will benefit the students, parents and the whole community.”

Most of the cost will be covered through fundraisers but local businesses are also sponsoring the sign. In return, the businesses will get advertising space on the bottom of the sign, she said.
Two main sponsors will have their names displayed for six years: Exelon Corporation and TJMaxx. Others will have their names displayed for two years and include Dress Me Up- A Unique Boutique; Kelly J. Hopper, CPA; ; Thompson Chiropractic Center; ; ; Meat BBQ Company and Ernesto Painting.
Zylinski will be able to program the sign with a computer from anywhere, McAvoy said.
“The Lacey Township High School PTSA has done an extraordinary job to raise money to buy a new electronic marquee for outside,” Zylinski said. “It will benefit for information for parents, information on meetings, holidays and on our great students. It can’t do anything but benefit the high school.”
The sign is expected to be installed by the end of March, early April.
