LACEY, NJ — The first phase of the Northwest Barnegat Pines Road Improvement Project began Monday in Lacey.
The project involves milling and paving in that area, and is expected to last between six to eight weeks.
“As with any road project, there will be traffic pattern changes, minor detours and alternating traffic flow throughout its duration,” officials said.

The Lacey Township Police Department will be onsite assisting the contractor, Swift & Son, while the work is completed.
Officials suggest that motorists allow extra time when traveling until the project concludes.
