Ocean County Health Department Still Offering Flu Shot Clinics

The remaining health department clinics are in northern and southern Ocean County

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - You still have time to get a flu shot for this season.

"It's Not Too Late! The Flu Ends With You!" is the Ocean County Health Department's mantra these days.

The health department is offering the shots at three different locations in Ocean County on various days in February and March, according to the website.

The northern site is located at 1771 Madison Avenue in Lakewood. The southern site is located at 333 Haywood Road in Stafford Township. The central site is located at the Health Department at 175 Sunset Avenue in Toms River.

Both flu shots and pneumonia shots are free if you are enrolled in Medicare Part B. The cost is $20 if you are enrolled in a Medicare managed car plan.

The health department recommends that everyone six months of age or older get vaccinated against seasonal flu every year.

The flu vaccines offered at the health department flu clinics this year will target four different flu viruses
or strains. The high dose strain targets three different flu viruses.

Here are the remaining dates for the flu clinics at the northern site in Lakewood:

2/21/18 - Wednesday - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
3/9/18 - Friday - 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
3/21/18 Wednesday - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Here are the remaining dates for the southern site in Stafford Township:

2/22/18 -Thursday - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
3/8/18 - Thursday - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
3/22/18 - Thursday - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Here are the remaining clinics at the main site in the Health Department in Toms River:

2/13/18 - Tuesday - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
2/15/18 - Thursday - 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3/1/18 - Thursday - 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3/5/18 - Monday- 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.
3/13/18 - Tuesday - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
3/15/18 - Thursday - 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3/19/18 - Monday - 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
