Police Charge Lacey Man With Drunk Driving, Outstanding Warrant

Lennon B. Ambrose, 37, also facing numerous summonses, police chief says.

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man for drunk driving and numerous other charges when they stopped him at the Forked River House plaza on Route 9 South, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Michael Verwey conducted a traffic stop at 2:24 p.m. on April 21, 2017. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as Lennon B. Ambrose, 37, East Lacey Road for driving under the influence. He was also found to have an outstanding $150 warrant from the Lakehurst Municipal Court, the chief said.

Ambrose was taken to police headquarters, processed and given traffic summonses for DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, using a handheld cell phone while driving and driving with a suspended license, DiBella said

He was released on his own recognizance on the outstanding warrant. His vehicle was impounded pursuant to John's Law.
