Police Seek Forked River Man for Alleged Aggravated Assault

Police issued a $5,000, no bail warrant for Salvatorre Dimodica, 21, for his alleged involvement in an assault

Lacey Township police are still seeking a Forked River man after an assault occurred in the woods on Monday, Dec. 26.

Police issued a $5,000, no bail warrant for Salvatorre Dimodica, 21, for his alleged involvement in an assault. Nico Morgan, 21, of Lanoka Harbor was arrested.

Police responded to a call at 5:40 a.m. from a 20-year-old Manahawkin male who had been struck in the face with a 2 x 4, police said.

The male claimed that while he was in the woods with a group of friends with multiple off-road vehicles, he became involved in a verbal argument, police said.

During the argument, a male allegedly used a 2 x 4 causing $1,500 damage to a vehicle. The damage included broken lights, glass and dents on the vehicle.

The male victim did not require medical attention.

Morgan was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $50,000 and no 10 percent option. Morgan was processed and released on bail.
