Reminder: Hazard Mitigation Grant Deadline Is Sept. 15
Homeowners can receive up to $30K for house raising

Lacey officials are urging residents to submit applications for the state's Hazard Mitigation Grant Program before the Sept. 15 deadline.
HMGP funds are for the purpose of mitigating damage from future storms – in most cases, helping residents of primary homes raise them.
Under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Elevation Program, eligible applicants can receive reimbursement of up to $30,000 for elevations on existing primary, single-family homes.
Eligible homeowners can apply for elevation grant assistance at www.renewjerseystronger.org or by calling 1-855 SANDYHM (1-855-726-3946).
People can also apply in person at one of the Housing Recovery Centers open in each of the nine most-impacted counties. Ocean County's office is located on Vassar Avenue in Lakewood.
