Sept. 26: Savvy Savings for Seniors, Oyster Creek Meeting, Art Demonstration

1. Today is school picture day for the Mill Pond School and the sophomores at the high school. Senior retakes are also today.

2. The Library is holding Savvy Savings for Seniors at 11 a.m., an event that will offer simple financial strategies, additional benefits and ESI Benefits Check-up programs.

3. The Surflight Theatre presents Steel Magnolia’s at 2 p.m.

4. There’s an art demonstration on photographing your art at the Ocean County Artists Guild in Island Heights from 7 to 9 p.m.

5. State and local officials will be hosting a meeting at the Lacey Middle School on the regional impact of the closure of Oyster Creek Generating Station and options moving forward. The meeting is at 7 p.m.
