Special Budget Meeting Set This Week For Lacey Schools

LACEY, NJ — A special Board of Education meeting will be held here this week to amend the 2025-26 budget, according to public notice.

The notice says the meeting is for "the approval and adoption of the amended tentative budget." It's not clear as of Monday afternoon what in the budget is being amended.

The budget was introduced at a meeting last month, and the public hearing and final adoption is set for April 29.

No agenda has been posted for the meeting as of Monday afternoon.

As introduced, the tentative budget cuts three certificated positions, three full-time paraprofessional positions and one custodian position, along with technology reductions.

The special meeting is set for April 9 at 6 p.m. in the Lacey Township High School lecture hall.
