
Officers reported to Firestone in Lacey Mall were scrap metal was said to be stolen on April 7.
Upon arrival, two locks to an outside dumpster, valued at $40, were cut off. Scrap metal valued at $300 was stolen from within the dump.
On that same day, police reported to Little Italy Pizzeria where a large metal container used to house used cooking oil was stolen.

The 55-gallon container was being stored in the rear of the pizzeria. The value of the metal container and used cooking oil was $550.

April 8
Thomas Eckhart, 46, of Forked River was arrested on the strength of two warrants--$100 out of Little Egg Harbor and $678 from Woodbridge. Eckhart was released on his own recognizance on the $100 warrant.

Michael Beaulieu, 43, of Lanoka Harbor was arrested on an Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrant. He was picked up and brought to jail.

William Covar, 55, of Forked River was stopped at 1:30 a.m. for failure to maintain lane. Investigation led to Covar being charged with DWI, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane.

Police and fire departments responded to a 9-11 call for a chimney fire on Arient Road. The fire was extinguished by the Forked River Fire Department.

Kenneth Blu, 19, of Ocean, New Jersey, was charged with DWI, DWI underage, reckless driving, and improper parking. Blue was arrested at 11:20 p.m. after police responded to 7-Eleven on Route 9 on a report of a male sleeping in his vehicle.

A resident on Lakeside Drive South in Forked River, reported that someone damaged an 8-foot section of his fence, which runs parallel to Lakeside Drive South. There was $250 in damage.

Christine Rulka, 30, of Forked River was arrested at 9 p.m. after she allegedly stole 46 large landscaping stones from outside of Club Pro. She was given a special complaint summons and charged with theft.

Alisha Hawk, 29, of Bayville was detained for allegedly attempting to leave Walmart with property not paid for. She was arrested at 10 p.m. for allegedly shoplifting $30.84 worth of merchandise. Hawk was taken to the Ocean County Jail and was unable to post bail at $2,500, with no ten percent option.
April 4
Robert Hunter, 26, of Ocean Gate was arrested at 12:46 p.m. for allegedly shoplifting $132.78 worth of merchandise from Home Depot. He was transported to the Lacey Township Police Department, processed and released.

A Lanoka Harbor 16-year-old male reported that his $275 Gary Fisher bike, which was left unsecured at 7-Eleven, was stolen.
April 3
A resident of Deerhead Lake Drive reported that over 30 day period, someone stole $1,400 worth of jewelry within the home. There was no forced entry.
