Three Lacey Men Facing Drug Charges After Suspicious Vehicle Stop

All three men facing heroin possession charges, police chief says.

Lacey police recently charged a Forked River man with heroin possession and arrested two others on outstanding drug charge warrants, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officers Brian Holt and Daniel Ricciardella responded to the Walmart store on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor on a report of a suspicious vehicle at 5:24 p.m. on June 1, the chief said.

They arrested Nicholas M. Picone, 31, Whitcomb Road, Robert Prosperi, Jr., 34, Enterprise Drive and Andrew Sojka, 36, Constitution Drive, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Picone also had an outstanding $1,000 Galloway Township Municipal Court warrant. Prosperi was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Sojka charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe, the chief said.

Picone was charged on a criminal warrant with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River to await a bail hearing, the chief said.
