Toms River Woman Charged With Shoplifting, Assault Of Walmart Loss Prevention Officer: Lacey Cops,

The woman initially fled the store, but she came back later and assaulted the officer.

A Toms River woman who left her stolen merchandise behind when she was stopped by a loss prevention officer returned later to retrieve her items and then assaulted the officer, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Brian Holt responded to the Walmart, located on Route 9 Lanoka Harbor on a report of a shoplifter at 3:56 p.m. on Dec. 9. Initially the woman fled the store, and left her merchandise behind, the chief said.

But when she returned later to receive her property, she assaulted the loss prevention officer, the chief said.

Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Jennine P. Lizer, 30, Elizabeth Avenue in Toms River. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Lizer was charged with shoplifting merchandise valued at approximately $20, defiant trespass and simple assault, DiBella said.
