Toxicological Tests Pending in Lacey Double Murder, Suicide: Prosecutor's Office
Toxicological tests were done on Gregg Scott, who murdered his wife, 7-year-old son and the family dog earlier this month.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is waiting on the results of toxicological tests done on Gregg Scott, the Lacey man who murdered his wife, young son and the family dog earlier this month, a spokesman said.
The circumstances of how the horrific event unfolded have not been released. But the toxicological tests will at least determine whether Scott was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he killed his family sometime on Aug. 16.
Kimberley Dunphey, her 7-year-old son Owen Scott and the family dog were killed at their Nautilus Boulevard home after a marital dispute. All died of blunt force trauma injuries. Gregg Scott was still alive when police arrived, but later died of self-inflicted injuries at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, authorities have said.
