Traffic Lights Blinking, Speed Limits Up on LBI

Traffic lights on Long Beach Island reverted to their off-season blinking status on Monday.

Ocean County officials make the change this time each year, but there are a few things locals should keep in mind.

Speed limits in most places, including on Long Beach Boulevard, have been raised, but speed limits still vary. In Surf City, Barnegat Avenue's speed limit is remaining at 25 m.p.h.

Island police departments have said officers will be focusing their efforts on ensuring drivers stick to the right lane on multi-lane roads.
