Traffic Stop Leads to Lacey Man's Arrest on Warrants, Drug Charges

20-year-old's unregistered, uninsured vehicle was impounded following traffic stop, cops say

A 20-year-old Lacey resident is facing drug charges after being pulled over by township police earlier this week.

Brandon R. Koppenjan, of Lanoka Harbor, was also wanted on two outstanding warrants, police said.

Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop on East Haines Street at 5:13 p.m. on Monday, according to a statement from police. An investigation ensued, and Koppenjan was found to be the subject of two outstanding warrants: a $750 warrant from Lacey and a $500 warrant from Brick, police said.

Koppenjan also received a criminal summons for possession of marijuana and traffic summonses for driving with a suspended license and operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

The vehicle was impounded.
