Two Car Burglaries In Lanoka Harbor

There were two incidents of people having their windows smashed and belongings taken on Wednesday morning.

LANOKA HARBOR, NJ - There are two reports of car vandalism and theft that happened in early morning hours Wednesday, according to the Lacey Police Department. Both incidents occurred in Lanoka Harbor and involved breaking the passenger side window and stealing items from within the car.

The first incident happened on the 600 block of Colgate Avenue is suspected of happening between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Lacey Police Department. The car's front and rear passenger side windows were broken and items were taken. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,000 and the stolen items are worth more than $600.

The second incident is expected to have happened between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday on the 700 block of Amherst Road in the driveway of the victim, according to Lacey Police. The car's passenger window was broken and and items were stolen from the car. The vehicle damage cost is estimated at $500 and the stolen property is valued at over $100.

Lacey Police have not released whether the incidents are connected.
