Teen Hit By School Bus While Riding Scooter At The Jersey Shore, Police Say

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A 19-year-old suffered a “serious head injury” on Sunday after she was hit by a school bus while riding a scooter, according to the Lakewood Police Department.

The accident occurred on Sunday morning along West County Line Road near Hope Chapel Road, police said.

The teen, whose identity was not released, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment following the crash.

As of Monday afternoon, police said investigation into the crash is active and additional information will be released when available.
