1 Killed, 1 Injured After Car Crashes Into Tree In Lawrence: Police
A 78-year-old man from Pennington succumbed to his injuries, police chief Chris Longo said.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — A 78-year-old man died and a 78-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after the car they were traveling in crashed into a tree in Lawrence Township, authorities said.
On Tuesday around 2:43 p.m., the Lawrence Township Police Department responded to Fackler Road and Deer Run for a report of a vehicle that crashed into a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, Jared Fowler, 78 of Pennington was taken to Capital Health System – Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, police chief Chris Longo said.

The passenger, Janne Fowler, 78, of Pennington sustained significant non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash appears to be medically related, Longo said.

The Lawrence Township Police Department was assisted by the Lawrence Township Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, Capital Health System Advanced Life Support and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
