Fire Breaks Out Inside Faculty Residence In Lawrenceville School
The fire did not spread beyond the single residence inside the private school, authorities said.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – A fire broke out Monday morning inside the campus of The Lawrenceville School, Police Chief Chris Longo said.
On Monday around 11:50 a.m., the Lawrence Township Police Department received a 911 call reporting a house fire on the campus of The Lawrenceville School.
Officers responded to the campus to find fire coming from the second floor of the home along the first block of Humphrey’s Drive.

Members of the Lawrence Township Fire Department were assisted by fire departments from Hamilton Township, Trenton, Ewing, Princeton, Robbinsville and Plainsboro to help battle the blaze, Longo said.
The fire was placed under control at 2:12 p.m. by Lawrence Township Fire Chief, J. Oakley. There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Lawrence Township Police Department, Lawrence Township Fire Marshal’s Office and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office.
“Emergency crews responded to a fire at a faculty residence. All community members are safe and the fire did not spread beyond the single residence,” the Lawrenceville School said.
“All School emergency protocols were immediately and properly executed. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Lawrenceville is deeply appreciative of the efforts of local first responders and is focused on supporting the family during this difficult time.”
