Forklift Found Burning Amid Smoke-Filled Building
Smoke seen billowing from the Cintas Document Management facility on Whitehead Road prompted fears that the building was on fire Tuesday morning, but responding Lawrence Township firefighters discovered it was actually a forklift that was burning.
Smoke billowing from the Cintas Document Management facility prompted fears that the structure in the 600 block of Whitehead Road in Lawrence Township was on fire this morning (Tuesday, June 12).
Responding emergency personnel, however, discovered that it was only a forklift ablaze inside the building.
It was about 9:45 a.m. when passersby and workers at the neighboring PSE&G facility called 911 to report that smoke was coming out of the Cintas building, township firefighters said.

The township’s daytime duty crew of career firefighters and volunteer firefighters from Slackwood, Lawrence Road, and Lawrenceville fire companies responded. A ladder truck from Hamilton Township’s Hamilton Fire Co. was also dispatched.
Firefighters said the burning forklift was removed from the building and quickly extinguished. While the building was filled with smoke, no structural damage was reported.

Firefighters used fans to help clear the smoke from the building.
