1 Dead, 2 Injured After Car Crashes Head-On With Tractor-Trailer In Mercer County
All three occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – One person died and two others were seriously injured when a car crashed head-on with a tractor-trailer in Hopewell Township on Tuesday, police said.
Around 12:07 p.m., Hopewell Police responded to North Route 31 between Titus Mill Road and Hopewell Pennington Road for a reported serious crash involving a head-on collision between a Honda Civic and a tractor-trailer.
According to the initial investigation, the Honda Civic left the southbound lane of travel on North Route 31, which resulted in a head-on collision with the tractor-trailer, police said.

The Honda Civic had three occupants - one driver and two passengers. All three sustained serious injuries from the crash and were taken to a nearby hospital by EMS. One occupant ultimately succumbed to their injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The investigation is being conducted by Hopewell Township Police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Response Team. Anyone with further information regarding the incident may contact Detective Steve Ciosek of the Hopewell Township Police Department.
