Obituary: Jack Wayne Whitehead, 63
A Lawrence Township resident for 25 years, he was a retired engineer who worked for the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Jack Wayne Whitehead, 63, of Lawrence Township, died Thursday, Nov. 17, at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Lancaster, Pa., he had resided in Lawrence for 25 years.
Jack retired in 2008 as an engineer with the University Medical Center at Princeton after 25 years of service.

He was a United States Coast Guard veteran having served in Italy.
Jack is the son of the late Elvira Edwards Whitehead and brother of the late David Whitehead. He is survived by his father, John A. Whitehead; his loving wife, Catherine Matlack Whitehead; and an adopted son, Kenny Brink.

Also surviving are a brother James Whitehead and his wife Angela; two sisters, Faith Peltzer and her husband Nicholas, and Jill Frey and her husband Bruce; an aunt, Faith; two uncles, Robert Whitehead and his wife Jan, and Tom Whitehead; a nephew, David Whitehead; three nieces, Lisa, Karen and Julie; many cousins; and many wonderful friends.

Jack’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township, with the clergy of officiating.
Burial will be in the Lawrenceville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
