Kristin Burke Appointed Principal Of Lawrenceville Elementary School

Burke is a former student of LES, where she also began her teaching career.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — During Wednesday’s meeting, the Lawrence Township Board of Education appointed Kristin Burke as the new principal of Lawrenceville Elementary School. Burke currently serves as the K-6 Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) Supervisor for the district.

Burke began her academic journey as an elementary school student at Lawrenceville Elementary School and later accepted her very first teaching position there, going on to teach both second and third grades.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to return to Lawrenceville Elementary School as principal,” Burke said. “LES has always held a special place in my heart, and I am committed to creating an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.”

As the K-6 STEAM Supervisor for the district, Burke has been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative instructional strategies that have enhanced student learning and engagement.

Burke has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from the College of New Jersey.
